Charlie has been shooting for 3 years. Also an avid golfer, Charlie discovered clay target shooting at TCTC and fell in love with the sport.

“This is a wonderful club,” said Charlie. “What a value! The grounds are beautiful and the sport is very challenging. I truly enjoy all the friendly people.”

Charlie takes his sport seriously. While he does shoot skeet, sporting clays has been his focus. Charlie has taken instruction from top pros and acquired good equipment.

“I shoot a Kolar. I appreciate its quality of design and workmanship. It is very reliable and I love the gun.”

For ammunition, Charlie makes his own. Reloading has become another hobby. He uses Mec 5000G reloaders.

Charlie is a founder of the infamous “Grey Busters”, a fraternity of mostly retired friends who meet each week at TCTC to shoot and fellowship. Grey Busters even have their own logo, which they proudly display on t-shirts and hats!

“The Grey Busters are great members. They are always a pleasure and are frequent volunteers at our events,” said TCTC manager, Larry Summarell. “It is fine people like Charlie who make TCTC a very special place.”
