A Gathering of “True Friends”
On Sunday, many friends gathered at the TCTC clubhouse to express their sincere appreciation and support for Ed Payne. Ed has been more than a stalwart member of the club for many years. He is known by everyone as a very kind and gentle individual, quick to smile and always willing to lend a hand.
Ed proudly displays a State Senate courtesy plate presented to him by Sen. Doug Jackson. Members hope the plate will enable Ed to drive a little faster to visit friends at TCTC.

Ed Payne may not be a wealthy man in terms of dollars, but he is very rich in so many other ways. Ed has earned in life that which is most elusive and valued. True friendships.

While Ed is presently not enjoying the best of health, he continues to pursue life with determination and an indomitable spirit which is an inspiration to us all. During Sunday's gathering, Ed was his usual warm and jovial self. It was great to see again our friend smiling, telling stories and discussing the recipe for his best reloads.
Let us all continue to pray for Ed’s full recovery and that he be back to shooting sporting clays with Chris Trundle and all his buddies, each Sunday afternoon. TCTC has not been quite the same place, lately. We all miss a true friend.
God bless you, Ed Payne.
